Equine massage is becoming increasingly popular across the horse industry as people become more aware of the benefits.

Massage can increase blood flow and help promote drainage of toxins from muscles, helping the horse to work more effectively for longer periods of time, as well as recovering more quickly after exercise. As well as this, areas of discomfort can be pinpointed and muscle spasms or areas of tightness can be released. This will aid the horse in having a full range of movement and improve their work.
Massage therapy works not only physically, but mentally as well. Horses will benefit from the relaxation of a massage session.

Horses with ticklish or sensitive spots have also been known to benefit as they learn to accept pressure in these areas. So those who dislike being tacked up or rugged up can have these behaviours improved.

60 percent of a horses body weight is muscle. Tightness in one area of a muscle group can soon transfer to those around it, making work more and more of a challenge for your horse.
